Cavity Barriers
​Cavity barriers are provided to restrict the spread of smoke and flame within cavities. Cavity barriers should be installed where a cavity would otherwise form a route for smoke and flame spread around an element of construction, to close of the of cavities, including roof space. Cavity barriers should provide a minimum of 30 minutes fire resistance.
